As part of the global Project Rise initiative, the Dawoodi Bohra community in collaboration with the Consulate General of India, organised a food distribution drive for migrant workers in celebration of the 49th UAE National Day.
Marked on the 2nd of December each year, the UAE National Day commemorates the coming together of seven emirates to form what is today known as the United Arab Emirates. Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah were the first six to join, followed by Ras al Khaimah a few months later to forge a new identity for the region. Citizens and residents celebrate this special day with fervour and happiness.
