Your device is full.
So is the planet.

The Dawoodi Bohras are leading a 10-day digital cleanup across 7 communities in the Middle East with Let's Do It World. Complete one simple task a day — clearing unused files, apps, and emails — reducing the hidden energy used by data centres. Our combined storage freed will be reported as a unified regional contribution on 25 May.

Why you should declutter?

A digital cleanup is one of the rare things that helps the planet and helps you in the same motion. Here's what you actually get.

Cut CO₂ emissions

Every gigabyte you delete saves roughly 200 grams of CO₂ a year.

82%

Reclaim your storage

Free up gigabytes you forgot you were paying to keep alive.

Make devices last longer

A cleaner phone runs cooler, slower to drain, slower to die.

Protect your privacy

Old accounts are leak risks. Closing them shrinks your attack surface.

Find what matters

Less clutter means less time hunting for the thing you actually need.

03 — The 10-day challenge

What are the experts saying?

"
We must pay close attention to the environmental impacts of digital technologies, so that the costs do not outweigh the benefits.
Inger Andersen
Executive Director · UN Environment Programme · 2024
"
Data centres used roughly 1.5% of the world's electricity in 2024 — and that demand is set to more than double by 2030.
Energy Outlook
International Energy Agency · 2024
"
Digital pollution is invisible, but its environmental footprint is not. Deleting unnecessary data is one of the simplest acts of environmental responsibility available to everyone.
