Planting Trees for a Green Canopy

GREEN-FINGERED members of one of the kingdom’s longest-standing communities with expatriate roots have been busy gathering to dig in an array of shrubbery and trees to further beautify Bahrain and raise awareness about protecting the environment.

The Dawoodi Bohra community recently joined hands with the Lions Club of Riffa to plant a variety of different species of greenery in Salmaniya Garden, including Morenga trees, Neem trees and Bougainvillea shrubs, with the backing of the Capital Municipality.

Head of Dawoodi Bohra community visits Sharjah

Sultan Al-Bohra, the 53rd Al-Dai Al-Mutlaq Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin arrived in Sharjah. On his arrival at the Dubai airport, Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin was accorded a warm welcome by Dr Hamad Bin Al Sheikh Ahmed Al Shaibani, Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai (IACAD), senior government officials and foreign diplomats, along with representatives of the Dawoodi Bohra community in the UAE.

World Cleanup Day is the largest one-day civic action to engage volunteers across 180 countries emphasising the global waste management issue and its impact on the environment.

This World Cleanup Day, The Dawoodi Bohras of the Middle East undertook multiple cleanup and awareness drives across different locations as part of Project Rise, the community’s global philanthropic arm and in keeping with the United Nations’ Sustainable Goals agenda.

Ambassador of India in Bahrain visits Bohra Masjid Al Burhani

His Excellency, Indian Ambassador Piyush Srivastava visited the Dawoodi Bohra Masjid Al Burhani Complex in Manama accompanied by Third Secretary Mr. Ihjas Aslam, Mrs. Monica Srivastava, and Mrs. Sadiya Machingal.
